We are the architects our clients need.

Tecnico is a Southern California based firm founded by Hector Rodriguez, AIA NOMA, an architectural practice that pushes the envelope in the development of residential and commercial works, including middle-scale housing like Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).

Hector leads the architectural design efforts in the office. He works with our clients and consultants to ensure that initial project concepts are well-articulated in every detail through to their execution. His hands-on participation through all phases of design and construction and expertise with construction materials, building regulations, and cost benefit analysis have proven invaluable to owners through cost savings while maintaining high design quality.

Hector is an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at Woodbury University and East Los Angeles Community College. As an educator, Hector believes that we learn best through the act of doing and delights in actively mentoring the next generation of architects and change-makers.  In his spare time, he is the advisor to the Woodbury chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS).

Previously, Hector was the Project Manager at United Dwelling, managing the design, development, and execution of over 30 pre-manufactured modular ADUs. Prior, he was a designer at FSY Architects working on multiple 50+ unit 100% affordable housing projects.

Hector is a graduate of the University of Oregon (M.Arch, Housing Specialization) and Arizona State University (B.Arch), and is a registered architect in California.
